JACL (JACL Adventure Creation Language -- yup, it's recursive) is developed by Stuart Allen, who is temporarily without full internet access. For information, best to write to him directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
JACL is an interpretive system -- no compiler is involved -- which runs in two distinct modes. On MS-DOS and Unix, the TACL interpreter provides the familiar scrolling command-line environment beloved by players of ZORK and beyond. The second mode is web-based: the JACL interpreter acts as a standalone HTTP server (running on Windows or UNIX) enabling the game to be played on any web browser.
